My Story
Hello there! My name is Naomi Miller A.K.A Indigo Child. I am a multidisciplinary lesbian artist working and living in San Francisco, CA. I graduated from Mount Holyoke College and have since worked to develop my skills as both a woodworker and painter. My diverse body of work ranges from oil on canvas, handmade guitars, recycled skateboard murals, and handmade skateboards.
Indigo Child Skateboards started because of my love for skating and passion for creating. One day I was looking for a new board but couldn’t find that “WOW” factor. So, I decided to hand carve and paint my own. After showing some friends they wanted one and I have been making boards ever since.
My subject matter tends to be experiences and places that reside within my everyday life. For me the paintings are about expressing emotions and the pleasure of feeling moments in time. It's about being cognizant of the world around me and pushing to find the alchemy between subject, environment, and emotional vibration. The goal of my work is to start conversation and inspire reflection.
